I got my GTI in Decemeber 2001 (YES! Its 4 months old, and Im loving every minute !!!).
The Pic above was taken on the day that I picked her up - theres nothing like driving the perfect car off the showroom floor.
My GTI has all the standard options (sunroof, leather, 4 airbags, 6 Disc Frontloader), and I cant think of anything else I would want...
My previous ride (*sob*) was a MK3 1.8, and I loved her to bits. She had moved on since... The mods on her mainly aestethic, but none the less a beaut... Tell me if you agree :
So, what is it about the Mk4 GTI that has heads turning and tongues wagging ? Well, if u ask me, the GTI is probably the most balanced package on offer at this time. It has the best of both worlds, luxury and the power. It'll drop the everything in its class, and above.
I know that VW has got it right with the MK4 GTI, cos even Opel is trying to copy them.
